The implant supported bridge is helpful in replacing missing teeth’s and effective in restoring functioning of mouth. A number of appointments are required in implant-supported bridge, which helps in replacing number of missing teeth’s. The process of bridging is initiated with the help of a scanner. A total of three scanning procedures are involved in bridging. This instrument helps in imaging of the mouth and further, placing and designing of temporary bridge begins. A placement is prepared for implantation and it is done in such a way that healing caps are placed into the bone. The doctor might go for temporary restoration, which helps in reviewing the best possible option. The healing might take some time and caps are removed. This is followed by scanning, which helps in designing abutments of bridges. These abutments serve as base for supporting purposes. The third and final scanning is done when abutments are placed into implants. This is the final step of bridging. After the whole process, patient can ask for adjustments, if any. The bridging not only provides protection but also helps in preserving surrounding tissues.
