The plaque and bacterium are one of the few reasons for decaying tooth and other related problems. The enamel over the teeth is removed when acid is excreted by bacteria. Once the outside layer starts decaying, it spreads to the underlying layer called dentin as well. This layer is more prone to infections, plaque and bacteria.
