The empty space left behind after an injury or decay of a single tooth loss can lead to change in face structure. The area in the mouth which has lost tooth not only looses gum support but tissue loss also begins. It might be possible that neighboring teeth can also be affected due to unfilled space in the mouth and it may result in loosing bone support that may further lead to further drift in the teeth. There is also case that neighboring tooth might start moving towards empty space and overall bone structure is affected. This might lead to non-alignment in the teeth as well. Before matter escalates to different level, it is best to seek advice from dentist on priority basis.
