A patient can go for bridging or implant for replacing missing teeth. In both of them, dentist may ask patients to come for number of times. The former one may get completed in a week or so by replacing teeth on both sides of the missing teeth for supporting purposes. However, healthy teeth adjacent to missing one is also at risk and it may be compromised in the long run. It is often difficult for patients to clean up mouth on frequent basis, henceforth, bacterium develops and weakens bridging. In dental implant, an artificial root is developed and it helps in protecting tissues. These artificial roots act as normal teeth and function normally. In this, no support from neighboring healthy tooth is required. The dentist may ask patients to go for temporary replacement as healing takes a considerable time. The patients as per their choice can put forward their preferences in front of the dentist.
