Dental implant supported bridge is a restorative procedure that can be used to replace the missing teeth. This restorative procedure using a bridge, which mimics the root structure of teeth, is the best solution in cases where it is impossible to place multiple implants. To carry out the process you need to visit the dentist multiple times. On your first visit, the dentist is going to take the imprint of your mouth to prepare a temporary bridge. Further, the place with the missing tooth will be prepared for the implantation process. The dentist is going to fix the implant in its place (into the bone). The implant is put in place with the help of healing caps. Monitoring of the implant continues during subsequent visits to the dentist as long as the healing is taking place. When it is ready to support the bridge, the dentist is going to take an impression of the area where the bridge is going to be placed. The impression is sent to laboratory for preparation of permanent bridge, and in the meanwhile a temporary bridge is placed. As soon as the bridge, along with abutments, is ready it is secured to the implants to restore your smile like it was before. And, now you can go ahead and perform the normal activities with your teeth without any problem!
