At times, gums start pulling away from teeth and it leads to more exposure of teeth and roots, this is known as gingival recession. The main reason of gingival recession taking place is due to heavy deposit of bacterium. The deposit of bacteria leads to detaching of gum line and gum tissues. The common mistake done by individuals is uneven brushing and flossing and it leads to the above. While brushing, many people insist in applying more pressure and as a result, teeth are more susceptible to damage. The issue of gingival recession needs to be addressed at an early stage to avoid severe complications at a later stage. The damage of teeth roots effects underlying structure of teeth and ignoring this issue causes loads of problems to patients.
