The small cavity is repaired with the help of composite filling. The filling is done in such a manner that the shade of teeth remains the same and regular functions of tooth are restored. In the process of filling, decayed portion of teeth is removed so that composite filling can be deposited into the cavity. After that a bonding fluid is applied which secures the filling in to tooth structure. This is followed by using curing light that helps in bonding fluid even further. Then, filling material that matches the color and shade of the teeth is used. The curing light helps in solidifying the composite. In the final step, polishing is done to remove roughness. This helps in restoring strength of the teeth.
